Common Metric Bearings, mm
TypedDBWhere / Why Used
6088227Skate bearing, cheap easy and strong. Used everywhere. Fits 5/16" rod very well.
6255165Extruders, gearboxes, little things.
6355196Bigger, cheaper, uglier 625
6244135Can kludge to fit #8 SAE bolts.
63331353mm bearings were sometimes used in direct drive extruders. Rare and expensive.

Linear Bearings I Have Known
TypedDLNotes
LM8UU81524Surprisingly, the go-to for hobby projects. 8mm rod is very flimsy.
LM10UU101929
LM12UU122130
KH1228121928 Used in the mutated darwin sold by BitsFromBytes. The 12mm rods were the best part of it.

#4-40VGA ThumbscrewVGA, DVI, RS232, fit-nothing junkpile lingerers.

Calculated Profiles for Truncated Threads
Type A H1 H2 Calculated Coordinates
P1P2P3
UTS 60° (3/8)*0.8660 (1/4)*0.8660 0.250000, 0.00000 0.562498, 0.54125 0.687509, 0.54125
Unified Thread Standard -- all normal nuts and bolts, metric or not. 0.8660 is the height of the 60° triangle.
NH 60° (3/8)*0.8660 (3/8)*0.8660 0.1250, 0.0000 0.5000, 0.6495 0.6250, 0.6495
"North American garden hose". Surprisingly similar to UTS but more symmetric. Again, 0.8660 is the height of the 60° triangle.
Trapezoidal 30° 1/4 1/4 0.3660,0.0000 0.5000,0.5000 0.8660,0.5000
"Metric ACME" is probably this.
ACME 29° 1/4 1/4 0.3707,0.0000 0.5000,0.5000 0.8707,0.5000
Leadscrews with imperial measures are probably this.
Stub ACME 29° 3/203/20 0.422415, 0.000000 0.500000, 0.300000 0.922415, 0.300000
Is there a 'stub metric' too? It is a mystery.
BSPP 55° 0.320 0.320 0.166667, 0 0.5, 0.640327 0.666667, 0.640327
Note this is the parallel thread profile, not the tapered one. BSPP is technically rounded, not truncated, but technically, that's often ignored too since it doesn't matter, BSPP not being self-sealing.
NPT 60° 0.400 0.400 0.0381198, 0 0.508988, 0.815568 0.547108, 0.815568
NPT is of course special: It's tapered an exact 1.78333°, equivalent to 1/16" rise over 1" run. The given profile has been offset to include that taper without altering any tooth angles, but there is an offset that must be applied in use as well. For every turn of thread, you must add tan(1.78333°) to the Y value. So, P4 would be [0,0.0311351] instead of [0,0], etc.
OpenSCAD Formulae
function profile(A,H2,H1)=let(M=tan(90-(A/2)),
        X1=((M/2)-(H2*2))/M,
        X2=((M/2)+(H1*2))/M,
        OFF=-X1*M) [
    [X1+X1,OFF + M*X1],
    [X1+X2,OFF+M*X2],
    [X1+2-X2,OFF+M*X2] ]/2;

THREAD_UTS=profile(60, (3/8)*0.8660, (1/4)*0.8660);
THREAD_NH=profile(60, (3/8)*0.8660, (3/8)*0.8660);
THREAD_ACME=profile(29, 1/4, 1/4);
THREAD_TRAP=profile(30, 1/4, 1/4);
