Sonar64
('planets' by Jerobeam Fenderson, raw audio converted
to displacement in Blender 3D)
sonar64 is a specialized commandline app which converts
PCM WAV files into 16-bit images for use by Blender 3D. Each row is a
line of audio data. This can be used for oscilloscopes, xy scopes, and many
other kinds of audio visualization. They can be used as textures, or used
as displacements.
It is a pure C application in about 1000 lines of code, probably
trivially portable to any little-endian system but written for tcc.
It includes a Windows executable, example WAVS and images and working Blender
4.0 files.
